Road Trippin Through The Daks

This past weekend I woke up and made the spontaneous yet brilliant idea to drive up to St. Lawrence for the SECOND WEEKEND IN A ROW. But this weekend was perfect! I went up and surprised my best friends and the boys (want the details? stay tuned for a post!). From Boston it's a little over a 7 hour drive up to Canton, NY. Doing the math, I spent a little under 29 hours in the car in the past two weeks...woof. But every second was worth it. I was driving to PARADISE!

Usually I don't mind driving, I actually really enjoy it and find it relaxing....windows down, music blasting and of course doing my best to stay within a reasonable range of the speed limit. This past weekend I had two GREAT days of travel. I love the Adirondacks, and it is hands down my favorite part of the drive. The views are absolutley beautiful. Anytime of the year is a great time to drive through the daks if you ask me, but I love it in the spring, you still have some signs of winter on the mountains, the trees are beginning to bloom, you feel summer right around the corner, its great.

On of my favorite stops on the way to SLU is Long Lake. My parents always loved to spend hours on the balcony of the Adirondak Hotel watching the planes come in - now I can see why!

I took the beautiful weather as a sign that it was going to be a great weekend...I was right.
The water was like glass and so blue, if it werent for the brisk temperature I would of pulled over and jumped in.
But seriously.

You're probably thinking, ya these views are awesome...but that many hours in the car is just brutal. And you are right, but I had my trusty satillite radio (thanks mom and dad) and a great playlist to get myself prepared for the festivities of SLU.

RoadTrip Playlist

A Million Voices – Otto Knows
Let it Roll – Flo Rida
Tidal Wave ft. Alpines – Sub Focus
Beam Me Up – Cazzette
Alive – Krewella
Can’t Stop Me – Afrojack & Shermanology
Don’t You Worry Child – Swedish House Mafia
Turn Up The Love – Far East Movement
I Could Be The One – Avicii vs Nicky Romero
Stay (Bramchez Remix) – Rihanna

If you haven't heard any of these songs, I suggest you download them right now and blast them throughout your apartment. I'm doing that right now, and I feel great - not to mention they're bringing back some great memories from the past weekend. Its crazy how listening to certain songs remind you of certain memories...didn't Rascal Flatts say that in a song once?

What are some of the tracks you're loving right now? Any go-to songs for a long drive?
